Tell everyone about your project

So you've got your planning done and things are moving ahead.

Now you need to get your ideas noticed. After all, the most successful projects are usually the ones that people get to feel a part of.

Get noticed in school

  • School councils let pupils share ideas with each other and teachers. They may help you get money for your project.
  • Put posters up around the school — but make sure you get permission first.
  • Get a notice read out at assembly. Why not offer to run an assembly and explain your plans?
  • Ask teachers to read out messages at registration.
  • Write an article for your school newsletter. It’s also a good way to let parents know what you're doing.

Get Noticed In Your Community

  • Advertise your ideas on a local website, or build your own.
  • Write an article or take some pictures for your local newspaper to use.
  • Put up posters in local libraries and community centres — just get permission to put them up.
  • Get the local media to cover what you're doing. Tell them what’s different and exciting about your plans.
  • Organise an event to celebrate what you've been doing.

Use your imagination to think about unusual ways to get your project noticed — but make keep it legal!
